Wounds at Iwo Jima


Wes Eastman fought at Iwo Jima from February 24, 1945 to March 27, 1945. During this bloody battle, 1,131 Third Division Marines were killed in action and 4,438 were wounded.  Wes Eastman would receive a Purple Heart for his wounds at Iwo Jima.
