Strictly Scuttlebutt: From Ivy Halls to Duty Calls

A World War II Marine memoir written by Weston D. Eastman about his training camp experience.

Forward

Dedicated to those men who have served with and are serving with the Fleet Marine Force. A body of men though a small force, have proven themselves capable of making landings on any shore.

I rush to express my thanks to those men who have made it possible for me to use them as imaginary characters.

To the Corpsmen who has served with us, a salute for their presence always at the right time. They proved that they were as efficient with a weapon as they were with plasma.

To the Marines there never can be enough thanks given for their courage and devotion to the country they love.
W.D.E.
